WHY ARE WE SO INVOLVED AND PUSHING FOR BIG FUNDS?

G&S Graphix family was a direct recipient of Supporting Heroes assistance. We saw firsthand, the love, aid, professional and expert advice given to families IMMEDIATELY following the tragedy of an in the line of duty death.

We have also (with the tragic and unfortunate loss of 2 police officers) have been directly involved and witnessed the support given to other families as well. What is so fascinating to us is; Immediate Financial Support - In June 2006, the organization extended its commitment of financial support to provide on-going support in addition to the initial $5,000 ‘emergency funds’ to cover a family's financial needs until state or federal benefits arrive. Each family's need is determined on a case-by-case basis. The importance of this support cannot be overemphasized as public-safety families often experience financial stress even before tragedy strikes. Taking away the stress of house payments, buying groceries, continuing health insurance, or even purchasing new clothes for funerals can be a tremendous relief.

These and the fact that every night while we sleep, every day while we are work, men and women respond, act and treat injuries and threats to our wellbeing and way of freedom in our lives, are the reasons we ask and thank you for your offerings.
